Imagine a box made of a material through which nothing can pass – no quantum particles of matter (quarks or leptons) nor energy (bosons); no anti-matter; no dark matter nor dark energy. The box is vacuumed of all contents and sealed. It logically and physically contains nothing.
Imagine a second box of exactly the same description, except that it is twice the size of the first box. Does the second box contain twice as much nothingness – or even just more nothingness – compared with the first box? Does this count as a double negative, or not?
Ah, but a box of nothingness - a present for someone who has everything.
